 | 2020: The Best Year Ever (The Game) was created by Michael Pierce (a Philosophy professor at a college in New Jersey), Stacy Hunt (a workforce development manager at that same college - and artist), Paul Jaramillo (an engineer for the Department of Defense), Kimberly Jaramillo (an artist and Florida beach comber), Tori Hunt (a bartender at Chickie & Pete’s in Philadelphia PA), and Tara Wrysec (a 9-1-1 dispatcher in New Jersey and future horror film director). Together –apart – these 6 friends collaborated via WebEx during the pandemic to design, construct, and test this game. While none of these collaborators have designed a board game before, they are all experts at partying and Michael has been an aspiring entrepreneur since his first door-to-door Christmas card sales business. (Just don’t get him started on his “invisible piranha” business!). This game is highly visual so Kim and Stacy’s unique art styles blended perfectly and were key to the game’s visual appeal. Paul’s engineering prowess served us well as we created a game with so many moving parts. How he created such a intricate, flexible “game play” while making it so easy to play is a true miracle. And while Tara’s eye for detail (and love of all things scary) keeps us all “in line,” the social skills that Tori has mastered as a SouthPhilly bartender will catapult “2020: The Best Year Ever (The Game)” into social media limelight. So, while apart we all may be your average, mask wearing, game loving, victims of 2020 - together, we have become masters of the universe (or at least 2020) and we can’t wait to share our journey with you! |
