 | Born two score and nine years ago in Puerto Rico, I was rocketed to Miami, Florida at the age of two. (Fortunately, my parents came with!) There I learned the ways of science fiction, fantasy, superhero comic books, and role-playing games. I married these interests to my life as a professional historian by writing my not-so-famous doctoral dissertation (now a not-so-famous book) Bending Steel: Modernity and the American Superhero.
More recently, I've turned my writing talents (such as they are) to the gaming industry. After self-publishing two character books for the first edition of SUPERS!, I was lucky enough to land a gig co-writing SUPERS! Revised for Hazard Studio. I'm now writing The Superverse, a campaign sourcebook that builds on my earlier publications.
In the meantime, I maintain my secret identity as a high school history teacher, a dedicated husband, and a doting father to two teenage daughters and one newborn son. |
