I'm Dan Grubb, CEO of Fantastic Books Publishing, an independent, multi-division publishing house based in East Yorkshire UK.

My company started as a book publisher (Fantastic Books Publishing) but then quickly diversified into audiobooks (Fantastic Books Audio) and then to organising FantastiCon, our annual SciFi and Fantasy event that attracts hundreds of people from all over the world to spend one weekend a year playing games on and offline and socialising.
Running FantastiCon and booking content for it led me into the awesome world of board and tabletop games and I loved them so much that I decided that the company needed a brand new division, Fantastic Books Gaming.
Our very first game is now ready to go. Itâs called âthe Gorgonâs Lochâ and is designed to get players up and running in just a few minutes. The whole point of the new division isnât to have people play our games exclusively but to attract new players to board and tabletop gaming and the thousands of awesome games out there in the world.
Personally I love classic science fiction, dark crime, epic fantasy and post apocalyptic disaster stories so quite the mix of genres to drive the narratives behind our games in the future!
Fantastic Books Gamingâs first game, 'The Gorgon's Loch', was funded on 30th January 2021 during the UK's 2nd Covid lockdown.
Our next project, the first expansion pack for the Gorgon's Loch called the 'Oakenwild Expansion', introduces Viking siblings Hjalva and Hjolven Oakenwild to the Loch!
