 | I'm Jamie Noble Frier, you might know me as Jamie Noble (not the wrestler!) but I added the Frier when I married. I've been an artist in the games and books industry for the past ten years. I've worked on various titles that have hit on Kickstarter such as Perdition's Mouth, Smiths of Winterforge, Hands in the Sea, Magicka Mayhem and many more.
I've got a great reputation with clients, have a large back catalogue of work and I have a plethora of recommendations from the people I've worked with on Linkedin (link below).
As a child I was bought The Key to the Kingdom, which definitely highlighted my love of both fantasy and board games. I became a huge Warhammer Fantasy nut (also Necromunda and Blood Bowl), which gave me access to some of the more in-depth games that seemed at that time quite niche. I stumbled across Talisman, Battle Masters and various other spin off titles (if you're selling Battle Masters look me up! Nostalgia please!).
When I started my art career at an independent video game company in local Brighton, we would play tabletop games at lunch times and after work and was introduced to even more games beyond the childhood usual suspects of Monopoly, Clue(do) and Risk.
We joked about making board games at the time, and it stuck with me. As I moved more into the tabletop industry,I began to read the blogs and forums my potential clients hung out in to find work. I began to learn a lot about the industry and also started to get some of the ideas that had floating round my head down onto paper. Now as I release my first tabletop game, I'm super thankful for every interaction (positive and negative) I've had along the way, it's shaped every aspect of what I've achieved. I'm really proud of this project, and can't wait to get more of those ideas out of my head and onto paper... backed with chipboard.
I have a super supportive wife, amazing son and a dopey little Labrador called Luna. |
