 | I've been a gamer for over 30 years. Wow! that makes me sound old.
But I'm very young at heart. After all you're only as old as you think you are.
Anyway's, after so many years of gaming I decided to try creating my own games several years ago.
Xenofera is not the first game I've created but it is the first game I've created that I feel is solid enough to share. My first game was a cooperative fantasy based game that I may come back to in the future.
One of my biggest goals for the games that I've been designing, including Xenofera, is to keep the rules short and simple to learn. That doesn't necessarily mean that the game is simple though. I've personally just never been a fan of games with large complicated rule books. I like to be able to quickly read the rules, then jump in and start playing and that's how I design.
When I'm not designing games I work in IT, having held various positions business analyst, user experience analyst, project manager and Agile coach to name a few.
A lot of this experience has helped me as I've play tested, analyzed the results, and revised the game. And I'm sure my experience in project management will be invaluable as I move from designing the game to publishing the game. |
