 | I was born fourth of six to a picturesque family in southwest Ohio. My mother dedicated her time to keeping our home and educating us with a home school curriculum; she was sure to use her degree in education to take us beyond the material for a learning experience impossible to find anywhere else.
Though my childhood home has been full of happiness we were not invincible to the woes of life. In the early months of 96' we suffered a tragic automobile accident with took the lives of my eldest sister and youngest brother. While the rest of my family came out unscathed I left the scene with life altering cranial damage.
After only a month in the hospital I had learned to walk, eat, and speak again. Though therapy continued through the following year, with the support of my family I came through with virtually no indication I had ever been hurt.
In the years following my mother continued to devote her time to our education, and I as well as my siblings graduated at the top of our class (you gotta give me just one). I also found myself lost in books and adventures of all kinds. Late in my high school years I discovered the role playing game and found a passion for experiencing a narrative from the character's point of view. As part of my education I have been trained in classical piano and find even today it is a luxury I enjoy.
After finishing school I found little interest in pursuing a higher education and was instead interesting in playing games and working nine to five. Six months later I was feeling unfulfilled, and began studying psychology at a local college. Once finished with my first semester I found I wanted most of all to make the difference in peoples lives.
I moved to Tennessee in search of further education I needed and in addition found the woman who would be by life mate. After two years of college we married.
In time (sooner than we had planned) our first son came along and the funds for college dried up. His brother arrived not too long after. Two more have come along since and we could not be more thrilled.
Currently I make a living working in food service and we are living comfortably near family. Even with a diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome I haven't given up on my dreams of creating something exciting for others to enjoy. After a few more play tests I think the time has come to put the final touches on this masterpiece. |
