 | I grew up in Los Angeles, Ca in a loving foster home. The latter part of my rearing was in Baptist denomination but my formative years were spent in Christian schools. It was there that I learned about Salvation, Heaven and Hell. I was terrified of being left behind...until my parents decided to place me in public schooling. My fear was replaced by free will and free living! I left home at 15 and didn't return to church for 10 years. During those 10 years I accumulated a lot of baggage, some of which was difficult to let go of. Baggage like, rape and molestation, rejection and neglect, oppression and poverty. I held on to this pain because it was all I knew. It wasn't until an evangelist told me that I could let go that I began to see real freedom. She shared with me that I had to go back to the root of the pain, meet it head on and forgive those who have wronged me, including myself. It was a long, hard road to travel but Glory be to God, I'm free! If overcoming my pain was a difficult task for me as an adult, how much more difficult is it for a young person? I have made it my personal mission to reach the youth with the message of Jesus Christ to not only save their souls but to save them from a life filled with pain and misery because of lack of knowledge. |
