 | Hi there! I've been playing role playing games, tabletop skirmish and wargames for nearly twenty years. I've been building and designing scenery for nearly that long. I've always found something magical about the miniature world and narrative created on the barren wastes of the kitchen table, broken by the rocky outcrops of painted polystyrene or the depths of space conjured up by a piece of MDF painted black and speckled with white using (someone else's) toothbrush and paint.
I love modelling, table top gaming and role playing. So much so that for the last ten years I've been providing card stock scenery through Drive Thru RPG and its affiliate sites and for the last eight years resin scenery through eBay.
I really love looking at a table covered with great looking scenery - something I think I share with most gamers and I've been doing my modest best to help people with that over the past decade.
However, with the advent of inexpensive 3D printing I now have the ability to provide you with the same high quality scenery I've been working on for years, but at a fraction of the cost and with no shipping fees! I've been working with 3D printers for the past couple of years to help design prototype models but now that they are becoming widely available at prices which don't mean a second mortgage, I now have the opportunity to provide you with the type of scenery you really want, and in a way that is both economical and meets individual gamer needs.
Although this is my first Kickstarter project, the design work, documentation, hints and tips to get the best out of your models are all things I've been doing for years, so - yes I can talk the talk, but I can also walk the walk. |
