 | Paris White, author, artist and creator of THE URBAN LEGEND SERIES Board Games and Books, was born in Washington D.C. in 1974. His passion for art, and writing started at young age reading the comic strips in the local newspapers. Reading the comics taught him how art can enhance a story and bring the words to life. Throughout his early education, Paris received many accolades in the areas of art and math and went on to attend Morgan State University and the University of the District of Columbia to study architecture.
At age 26 Paris welcomed his daughter into the world. As soon as she was old enough, he told her bed time stories of his past childhood mischief instead of the story’s others had written. Eventually this became a nightly routine that filled the house with laughter and eventually served its purpose of getting her to fall asleep.
Paris has always been a great artist and story teller, and with the encouragement of educators and friends, started writing short stories and poetry in 1997. Later Paris won several local arts, and poetry competitions but really didn’t master his skills until he met his friend Kona Sanders, who is now his wife. Kona encouraged Paris to write the childhood stories of his past into a book and game for all to enjoy. After a few years, Paris had a successful comic strip published in a local Virginia paper called “A Dog’s Life” and finished The Urban Legend Sumer Adventures the Journey to be Cool book soon after.
The Urban Legend Series is a set of games, and books created to encourage young gamers, and readers to be unapologetic about who they are. followers of The Urban Legend Series will be encouraged to get out and engage in adventure, explore the wonders of the world around them, and become the urban legends of tomorrow. |
