	I was born in Portland, Oregon in July of 1958. I have been married to my wife Sandi for over 26 years. We adopted three children from China staring in 1998. They are now 26, 24, and 17 and have added a great deal of satisfaction to our family life. I have been involved in community work for years. Most of my efforts have been directed to local schools and an organization that supports the Mandarin Immersion Program here in Portland, Oregon.
