 | Hi all, my name is Uwe Walentin founder and owner of the Sound of Drums publishing house. I was founder and owner of Pro Ludo, a European boardgame publisher. At Pro Ludo we published and distributed "Die Werwölfe von Düsterwald / The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow", "Zug um Zug / Ticket to Ride" and many many other boardgames. After over a decade in the boardgame publishing industry I sold Pro Ludo to move on to new adventures. My roots in the boardgames industry, as gamer, developer, sales man and publisher are long and deep and were never cut. Before Pro Ludo I was first a promoter at game shows, did translations of rules manuals, then became a game store co-owner and was also working for the publishers Eurogames (ex Jeux Rexton) and Jeux Descartes. But as I always was a boardgamer at heart, I wanted to move to one more thing: To develop and publish the ultimate game about civilization building in the ancient mediterranean sea. This dream ultimately brought me to found game development and publishing house "Sound of Drums” as my new project. |
