 | V.W. Khambatta spent his childhood in the South of England. A Yorkshireman born in the wrong place, he grew up in an idyllic commuter town in the heart of Hertfordshire and stayed for exactly as long as it took to get an education before making a desperate escape up North. After an abortive attempt to forge a career as a professional wrestler, he admitted defeat and became a teacher, in which capacity he has found employment since 2002. Working in schools through both North and South Yorkshire he has primarily taught English, as well as Media, ICT and a host of other things in between. He resents that he is destined to live out every cliché about all English teachers being frustrated writers with every fibre of his being. He has been collecting and painting toy soldiers for most of his life and would like to register his opinion that Warhammer 40,000 is both a better-written and more interesting setting than either Star Wars or Star Trek.
