 | Donald & Kay McIntosh (hence DonKay rather than Donkey) were husband & wife co-owners of an I.T. business. I.T. is not always fun (especially after 30 years) so we looked for a way to diversify. Donald likes making things out of wood.
Chatting to a friend (Kevin Young of Inspiring Games) after making dice boxes and towers for our own adult children led to consideration of the gaming community as a possible market, and after a few sales on Etsy and locally, here we are.
Our first Kickstarter aimed low and reached 300% funding with 45 backers, our second did not fund and the third had 112 backers and 1400% funding. Hopefully now that we have a track record of delivering on Kickstarter we will attract more backers. |
