|Man Vs Meeple is a Board Game Video Review studio based in Carmel, Indiana.
Jeremy D Salinas is a Business Relations Manager for a local Law Firm and a Video and Board Game Enthusiast by heart. He has worked extensively in the Video Game Industry as a Product Distribution Analyst and a Buyer for a major Fortune 500 company before moving back home to Indiana to raise a family.
Jeremy's initial introduction into the world of gaming began at a very early age, primarily with digital entertainment in the late 70's, early 80's (Atari 2600, Commodore 64, etc).
As he grew older his interests gradually shifted to Collectible Card Games. Like most people, Magic was his first real venture into that style of analog gaming, but that soon gave way to others like Middle-Earth, Netrunner and Decipher's Star Wars and Lord of the Rings themed Collectible Card Games.
He is also what many would consider to be an overly protective Consumer and Collector of games, one who strives to keep all of his Boxes, Inserts, and Components in the best possible condition. For that, he often finds himself utilizing several sources of outside materials, including Plano Boxes, Card Sleeves, and Laminated Player Aids which are highlighted in his Video Reviews.
Man Vs Meeple evolved around his deep-seated interests in Game Components, Design and Art and how they affect the purchasing decisions of gamers everywhere. The continuing need to find the coolest games and brightest ideas in the marketplace and then share those discoveries with the community through highly produced and edited videos is how he has differentiated himself from the crowd. Through his previous Components Breakdown Videos, he provided invaluable visual information and stimulation to gamers who enjoy all the sum of a games parts.
Man Vs Meeple realizes that people's love for particular games can be attributed to a number of different factors; the games mechanics, its theme, the company developing it, or even the designer behind its design. It can be one specific aspect that draws their attention, or a mixture of many that drive them to make that inital purchase. |
