Aether Summon is a turn-based digital Trading Card Game (TCG) where players battle against each other summoning scrolls to materialize creatures and spells, powered by fluxes that channel the magical aether currents that permeate Alastria. It has been in development for the past 5 years to create a new type of TCG where randomness is removed - there's no drawing phase, no shuffling of decks - the sheer amount of possibilities, imperfect information and draft modes is all that is needed to keep the games fresh between them. This campaign is not for the creation of the game instead it is to fund its release as Open Source software, under AGPL. What you'll fund is the open sourcing of a server side application that is expandable, the browser-based client, infrastructure defined as code ready for deployment in AWS, the initial scroll collection including art & assets and a full test-suite for the engine, including for every individual card. In other words, the full code repository for a browser based game that is ready to be played in desktop, mobile or tablet, over the web, with a fully responsive front-end client. In the process you'll make it available to everyone in the world.
