	Lifes pretty carefree, until it's not. At age 7 I was diagnosed with Choroideremia, a rare and incurable degenerative eye disease that slowly eats away at my peripheral vision. 30 years later Iâve lost my job, the ability to drive, I use a cane for mobility, and I continue to lose all the simple pleasures that most take for granted. As the darkness creeps in Iâm faced with two choices. I can give in to it, be depressed and accomplish nothing. Or I can use it to fuel me, to push me forward and be as little a burden as possible to those I love. But how do I do that? After 38 years, I have found one thing that consistently provides a release from the burden of being a burden. And that's gaming with friends. No matter how dark it gets, gaming with friends always pulls me back into the light. One day I thought, âIf you could bottle this feeling Iâd buy it.â Then I realized that you canâ¦ in a way. After that, I started developing games and have been hard at work for the past 12 years. Because selling joy seems like a pretty good way to make a living.
