	When I was a kid I was lucky enough to be indoctrinated into the world of board games; we regularly played as a family and I was usually the one hounding people to play just one more game. When there was no-one to play against, I would happily tinker with a game, either taking all the turns myself to understand the different play positions, or just making up my own rules (who said Sea Monsters had to be evil?). Many years later, whilst touring and performing with a circus, I found myself with a fair bit of spare time and started working properly on games of my own design. After many refinements and reiterations Stak Bots was born and self-published under DogEared Games in May 2013. It was a lot of work creating a game from scratch; I had to figure my way through everything from creating the Bots to getting ready for print and launching the game with no prior experience. It was a steep learning curve, but it happened eventually! Since the original Stak Bots release, there have been two expansions that were kickstarted thanks to our generous and supportive fans. There is lots more we would like to do with the game in the future. We have also released the award-winning and Mensa-nominated 'Colour Chess + Lure', which is a colourful new take on the traditional game, introducing a new layer of strategy, new game variations and the new abstract strategy game 'Lure' (which can be combined with Colour Chess).
