	Emanuele Santandrea was born in Milan in 1973. He gained a degree in Genetics with summa cum laude and worked many years in the field for large companies, until one glorious day he decided to transform his passion for strategy games into an entrepreneurial venture. The passion for military strategy runs in the family: Emanuele served as an NCO in the most decorated unit of the Italian Army, the 3Â° Reggimento Bersaglieri, where he also worked as topographer; his father Antonio was an officer in the Italian elite unit Brigata Paracadutisti Folgore. Emanuele has played historical wargames since childhood. He started VentoNuovo Games in 2010, with an initial idea of making wargamesâ artwork better for players. Talking about maps, counters and game features: "Some say that VNG works harder than we need to on small details of texture and color. Most players agree with us that these aspects add to the feeling of a good game like a new breeze â¦ which is what Vento Nuovo means." VentoNuovo Games has a proven track record with Kickstarter. The first project, Moscow '41, shipped two months earlier than promised (is that legal?), as well as Stalingrad: Inferno on the Volga, Kiev '41 and Black Swan. Leningrad '41 shipped over three months early (is that insane?). "We deliver on our promises and challenge ourselves to beat our plans. After the success of BLACK SWAN Europe 1939-1945, now Emanuele is working on ORANGE SWAN, the sibling block game covering WW2 in the Pacific from 1939 to 1945.
